First x'mas dinner.

Yesterday, 21/12/2012 was my the x'mas dinner for the girls in the company. 

Hase decided to have it at Monte's Restaurant & Wine Bar, so after work, we left the company at 6.30pm and reached Bangsar Shopping Centre at about 7pm and with parking and everything it was just about 7.15pm

Carol told me the decos at BSC were pretty so i was pretty excited and borrowed her camera as well (Canon Ixus 200 IS) = it's gonna be a review post for that camera as well. 

Firstly, i was pretty disappointed being a 12 megapixel camera with image stabilizer, the quality wasn't as good as i expected. The images turned out pretty noisy and grainy even with the ISO at 100. 

X'mas decos at Bangsar Shopping Centre. 

Taken under program mode at macro setting no flash. 

First we were served free buns. they were DDDdddddddddddddelicious. *drooling. 

i wouldn't mind having them every morning as breakfast. 

you're drooling aren't you. You want to sink your teeth into the bread to have a bite and have the bread melt in your mouth. *slurrrppppp

*Cajun Chicken. 

It looked TOTALLY different than how it looks like on the menu.

This is the ONLY picture that is edited among all. (i left it untouched to show the quality) 

and i just adjusted bait. see how noisy and grainy it is. 

*Black pepper chicken

that just looks like one blob of i dunno what. 

*braised lamb shank. 

Asides the bread being very nice, the lamb was great (i had the lamb) The only problem was there was no salt int he mash potatoes and the gravy was too thick.
The environment of the place was great, not loud and noisy thought it was a little full. I hate how restaurants are noisy that you have to yell to chat with the people you are with. And then the akward moment when all sudden it's silent and you say something really loud and people staring at you. *ugh

My opinion, i don't really like this camera. It's fine under day light, (what camera is not) but it sucks indoor, with flash and night time it's not really that good. But oh well, it's my sister camera. She just needs one to snap picture :) So that's the company dinner as well as a lunch but i didn't snap any pictures cause let's just say my colleague's aren't camwhores.

So, most of us all have blackheads, and they are annoying. 

stubborn and not pretty. 

Asides using the B'liv Off with those head (i posted here)

So now, i've got a weekly routine for myself, 

and a monthly routine for my boyfriend. Guys, you have blackheads and it's not pretty, it's not man, it's not niceee

You don't have to tell me you do it. it's your secret. 

Firstly, a scrub. It's optional, but using it makes a big difference!

I use Laneige's Multiberry yogurt peeling gel. 

Because i have sensitive skin, and so does my boyfriend, the berry helps so sooth and won't irritate it. 

If you read up, berry helps with inflammation has well. (check out their berry mask)

Next, we all know this nose pack. I normally stick to Biore for nose packs cause their the best. 

the scuba removes dead skin and any oil above and opens up ur pore (use warm water) 

THen stick the nose patch on WET nose. then pat excess water dry and leave to dry. 

After 20 minutes, when it's super hard dry. that's when it's super effective.

All ur blackhead gets stuck there and you have a clean nose. 

it's not 100% everything clean. but more of a 85% to 90% clean

If you have blackheads, GO! if you don't! get B'liv and be careful. 

p/s. it's not my nose. it's the boyfriend's nose. 

I'D DIE if i have blackheads as much as that!!!

Past 3 days

13/09/1989 :: I received packages from Garb and Garment

With their pretty and clear handwriting, and in a secure box. 

I was bit surprised the box was smashed at first, Then i saw this..

Well, it's the first, 

i've never had my packages opened before. But oh well. at least they didn't take weeks or months. 

and a clear statement that nothing has been taken. 

I will upload images of the clothes later on.

Then i have finally received my Maquillage face powder.

Well, i'm really very particular with my products, especially i put it on my skin. i need it to be easily absorbed, light weight. 

and not have a heavy smell. 

i don't use concealer or foundation or prime base or sun block (unless i'm going to beach or sun water sports) because i hate my face being layered and thick and sticky and oily. well who does?

So, i've used Maquillage before. Like years ago, then i changed to MAC studio fix. But mac studio fix doesn't come with any spf. So hence, i had to get smth which is spf. 

And i'm sick of doing double layer, so after my MAC studio fix, i finally change to maquillage Lighting White powdery UV

14.09. 2011 :: The day i turn 22. 

Well, not much different, nothing special, just another ordinary day, asides i get to eat what i want. Not fine dine or anything, 

I wanted to go to Atrium at Burswood, but transport and people problem. 

So i decided to just go for usual fav jap food. Normally i'd just go for salmon teriyaki. cz sashimi or nigiri is much more expensive. 

But i don't care today. Cz it's my day. 

Asides that, i bought myself a little something. 

MAC blusher : Melba matte

I already have a dior glow pink blusher, this is an orange peachy colour, so when i wanna go less pink, this is it. 

And i use this as my bronzer. 

It's a very light peach colour. 

Asides that, i've gotten the MAC Fluidline in Midnight Blues ( a limited edition that just came out)

so go grab one. 

I don't use pencil eyeliners, i only use gel linear. with a brush, it's troublesome to apply, but it's better and i can adjust how i want it with a brush. 

I have had my Bobbi Brown Long-wear gel linear for 4.5 years already. it has still not dried out. 

Let's see how MAC does. 

It is a slightly Greenish Blue colour. 

I will do a make up look with that i show in the future.

ALSO, received my brow linear.

I'm really particular with my brows. because i have very little, 

AND! brows are important to me. i can go without eyeliner or eyeshadow or blusher. but the two things i MUST go out with?

You wouldn't want a boring out template design right? Anybody could do that. 

I've met people who actually ask 'Why bother spending money on something that i can do it?'

Well, you may be able to come up with your own business card or design by putting information and a few images, but it's never appealing. 

I've never kept any hand-given flyers or brochure if they were ugly. But if they were pretty and unique, i'd keep them. 

Once in a while i'd stare at the pile of nice brochure i have and it keeps a memory. 

Would you want that for your business??

 You want to be the first and the remembered one when someone mentions that business or needs a recommendation. 

They work from all field, online and in person. THey are efficient and reply instantly with full service. 

(rather than som shitty services company that never reply and never pick up their calls - like AirAsia)

Cowboys and Aliens

It's been a few weeks since i watched a movie, and been few weeks since i blogged bout a movie review.

So, Cowboys and Aliens didn't really catch my attention. It was one of those movies you see the poster displayed outside the theatre but you would miss it and walk pass it? 

Sadly, it was when a friend and my boyfriend flipped through the trailer and i watched it. 

Then the first thought was "what?? Cowboys i know. aliens yes. but cowboys and aliens together???"

It was tempting to watch because it's not a movie you come across everyday, but yet we all know we're afraid we're wasting our money. right?? 

So, cowboys and aliens, what can i say about it? fights and arguments were gruesome and realistic. Well in this generation of film and tv we have? anything is possible. 

One thing i'd say? Daniel Craig looked better like a cowboy rather than 007. LOL

The movie was pretty entertaining, The plot is sorta there. well, what can you expect with cowboys and aliens combining together right?

The aliens weren't disgusting, but them running around were pretty messy and blurry. 

The only problem i had was, it was pretty draggy. 

it's like they elaborated and extended a one and half hour movie to a two hour movie. 

Spoilers coming up. stop reading and skip this if you hate spoilers. 

Jack Lonergan (Daniel Craig) is a wanted criminal who lost his memory and later on regained it back. He acted the role really well, his pants was really funny though. 

Ella Swanson (Olivia Wilde) she died. i was disappointed, but then i realised, if all women role leader DON"T die, that's normal d.  then she comes back to life after her dead corpse .  i was like ''are you serious .____."

but in the end, she dies. a.g.a.i.n so main character being dead. not normal. but acceptable. everyone dies. =D

no emotional or tearing part in this movie though. 

So, if you're someone that's picking about movies, go download it. but if you're someone who doesn't mind. go watch it. =)

Eyes and hair

This post is a hell lots of camwhoring. LOL!!!. 

Today, i felt like blogging about two things. 

Firstly is, about fake sticker double eyelids. ( i finally received it from SASA, surprisingly, it didn't take that long. )

Before this i have to rely on GEL-linear to create a tiny bit of eyelid that last for only few hours. Hence, i threw my pencil linear away and stopped buying them because i didn't see the use of it to me anymore. 

The Gel-linear created a little emphasising on my eyelids because it's gel. so it's like a layer or something coated on my lids and when i open my eyes, it sorta folds. 

SO, i can't be expecting to apply gel-linear everyday and night right? I like to keep my make up simple and not heavy. 

So i decided to give the sticker eyelid a try because i've heard and read that in a long term usage, ur eyelids becomes permanent. *prays. 

I wasn't sure how well it was, how obvious it was to me. And would i look weird. 

Surprisingly. NOT. 

I'm not asking for HUGE triple obvious eyelids like the boyfriend or people i've met. 

So let's see how it went?

I do have eyelids. but INNER eyelids. so doesn't make any difference. I could do a really black thick later of linear or eye shadow and when i open my eyes, it's no difference because my lids and folded and no longer could be seen. 

I know i'm not as bad as being mono eyelid. and i'm lucky i'm not. i do appreciate that. But hey, if you're mono, there's a way to fix it too.

(see how obvious my eyelids are? compared to the image on top? i'm so happy!! okay. i'd update an image of an naked eye with the double eyelid sticker to show the obvious way. )

So i'm really happy with it. At least now i've fix that. (next to know how to make my nose smaller). 

So let's pray that it's true and it stays and last long. =D

Next is a wave up foam by Liese. 

i'm really particular with my hair products. 

i hate it smelling like coconut oil, or green tea, or macadamia nuts or avocado or whatever mineral thing you normally get. 

that's why i need something good and something that smells nice as well. 

i've realised that japanese girls curl and straighten their hair everyday, and dye and perm their hair frequently. (base one what i see on tv, magazine and so on)

SOOOO, japanese products must be good at some way too right? I'm asian as well, so why not give it a try?

So, when liese came out in Watson( malaysia& singapore) i gave the cocktail hair serum a try. and i loved the smell sooooo much. 

Though some people hate it, it smells really sweet, peachy, floral. and when i apply it on my hair, and when i walk pass someone, it smells as if i have a slight touch of perfume on. (so it's not so heavy that people would wanna choke)

Then i gave a try on the Berry Mist treatment. and i loved it as well, I have dry hair, breakage, frizzy, rebellious, curly, dead, split, distressed hair. Name it i have it. 

So i have the Berry Mist treatment ago. i loved the smell i love how it keeps my hair moist but not greasy. 

Being greasy makes me hair go into clumps, my scalp gets itchy and flake, my hair is heavy weighted down and flatten. Who wants flattened hair? We all want that bouncy nice hair we see on sunsilk or pantene. 

I even dyed my hair with the Liese bubble foam. and the colour is eve, nice and doesn't smell as if my tears were bursting and my nose were going to explode. (the chemicals)

Lastly, i stopped all the straightening and perming and trie staying away from all that chemical. 

But i hate my hair being sticking out like some branch.

SOOOOOOO, i came across this product by lies call Wave-up foam Number 2. 

it gives you elegant waves. and i can't tell you there's anything better than that. 

It comes in three numbers. 01, 02, 03. 

01- soft waves. 

02 - Elegant waves

03 - Clear waves. 

This product works well even if you have permed your hair ( i have permed my hair, so i know the hassle of applying something on it to keep it nice and bouncy. what i love about this product is, it doesn't make my hair HARD, clumpy or wet looking. it's very natural. and after i apply it on, it looks natural and i can even comb my fingers through it and the waves still stay. 

And of course, 01 is the softest, and 03 is the hardest. Even though it's the hardest. it's not gel dried hard. 

The smell, is amazing. I can never stop loving it. 

My hair isn't very long but i use it so my hair doesn't look like branches sticking out. so i give it a natural look. 

 See the side that i've done it. it's not amazingly curly. i wanted it to look natural so my hair is not like sticking branches. 

It's up to you individually how you'd want it. 

and if i made it REALLY wavy, my hair would look shorter. and i didn't want that. 

02- wave up foam - elegant wave. 

What's up with my face. i do not know. HAHAHAAA

So how i do it? First i shake it. 

Then pour some on your palm. The more hair you have, the more you need. I have very thin and little and short hair. 

Apple it throughly on your hair. 

Get it right up to where you want your curls to be, i'm only doing the bottom because i only want it in the bottom. 

I split it into three parts. 

Then start twisting inwards. (make sure if you use right hand inwards on your right side, you have to use left hand inwards on your left side as well. if you use right hand to do inwards on BOTH side or one inwards and one outwards, it'll be weird)

After twisting all three parts, i combine all three and twist them together 

And twist, twist, twist, twist, twist. ( don't worry if it's tight, if you have bouncy curls don't pull it down like me. you can let your hair curl together on top of each other )

After twisting into a ball, i gently push it upwards and gently let it lose. 

And spread it and tadah... i like mine not obvious. so i have to pull them really apart. and only do the ends. If you want it obvious don't hold and pull it downwards. and i have really little hair. so there's not much to curl. 

It saves up ur time, you can do it in the bathroom, before sleep. when you wake up. anytime. And when you feel it's not curly when you're out. just twist twist twist. without applying extra. =D

So much more pretty than this right??? and i can walk around without my boyfriend looking at me like an idiot. or i can turn and twist when i sleep without limiting my head movements due to the rollers. 

obviously, if you use a iron roller or slim straightener over it, you can a long lasting effect. 

This foam products your hair as well. 

So loving it.
