lash, brows and a new baby

People who know me would pretty much know that my eyebrows are THE MOST important thing to me. Even going out without make up. I do Not mind. But it is a MUST to have my eyebrows drawn. I feel super naked with no eyebrows.

Seriously. Wait till I get my camera all charged up then I'll show how it looks like naked and not naked. People do ask why don't I have an eyebrow tattoo or an embroidery done so I don't have to hassle to draw them everyday. And not just drawing is the problem. Shaping it as well and making both side balance. Because I literally DO NOT have eyebrows....

So eyebrows are important to me. So yesterday, I guess the most famous eyebrow product and company in Malaysia is EMPRO. It only does eyebrow including embroidery. Nothing else but eyebrows. They product focuses more on the brows, then they came up with the eyelashes mascara and eyeliner stuff. Now... Empro promotion pack from sasa. Rm49.90 pen(has a fill inside) and extra refill. Eyebrow pencil RM39.90 refil normally is RM25. But now coming in RM10. So RM39.90 + RM10 =RM49.90

Do the maths. Which would you buy? Emperor is a pretty good brand. Before I bought this. I was using their new eyebrow slim cut pencil that comes with the enhancement (it's already inside the pencil. No extra application. ) apparently it says made in korea (better than made in china right????)I hate certain eyebrow pencils, I tried the pencil sharpening pencil kinds, It's blunt, I never get a nice sharp tail of my brows.

20111229-161606.jpg
So thE color that I have bought is e3 (golden brown) the other fourcolours are grey, blonde, natural brown and a much lighter brown. This is the triangular eyebrow pencil which is in triangular shape. I think after Empro came out with the triangular shaped pencil, other companies started to have these triangular shaped one as well. The triangular shape is pretty unique as it comes with a point, curve and fine line angle.
20111229-163137.jpg As you can see the print screen from the website, it has a few awards of from CLEO, watsons, woman's weekly and cosmopolitan. This is available at watsons, sasa (the current value pack promotion) and Empro outlets. ______________ Next would be a lash serum grow which could be applied on ur brows as well. Most of you would know it. It's the Emergency Lash RX by Kji &co. Before this, I have had tried other brands like some random korean and Japanese brand. Right before this, I was using the Rommel accelerator (bought in australia), if Malaysia hada it I would have bought it. But sadly no. So, Camie recommended this before so I decided to give it a try as the sales lady was pretty convincing about it. So it comes in this really small pack with a pen like thing inside. What I like about this is that it's a brush rather than a liquid linear brush. AND most importantly, it is safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens (some random Korean brand I use back then use to sting my eyes).

So let's see how it will work and the results in a few weeks time. ______ Next, Would be my new baby. A x'mas present by the boyfriend. And unexpected, ACTUALLY cried when I opened the present =.= now my sister laughs at me. Sheesh... So, it was really unexpected as he always told me that he wouldn't pay so much for it. And he was always an anti-iPad. And I've always been hogging it for a really longtime. Words really can't express my feelings aboUt it and towards it. Everyday, I still hold it in my hands and still can't believe it. It's like I'm dreaming. And apparently my best friend knows about it!!!! Hmmmm. No wonder both of them start picking up conversations and asking me.
20111229-161612.jpg

20111229-161618.jpg
So I actually bought the smart cover. In pink!! As well As a back cover (hallmark), with a free screen protector at RM69. Where the screen protector by itself is Rm123. (the normal one some more!!) if the rm123 screen protector was some really anti scratch long lasting shit. I would have gotten that d. But it was like some normal one. But the hallmark case cover was really pretty!! But, I actually was looking for this book case. By DODOcase. You should really check out the website at DODOcase.com. Too bad they don't have that case in Malaysia. I would actually buy online :D maybe wait for a year or so. Lol!! That would be like a useful case as it looks exactly like a book!!

First x'mas dinner.

Yesterday, 21/12/2012 was my the x'mas dinner for the girls in the company.
Hase decided to have it at Monte's Restaurant & Wine Bar, so after work, we left the company at 6.30pm and reached Bangsar Shopping Centre at about 7pm and with parking and everything it was just about 7.15pm

Carol told me the decos at BSC were pretty so i was pretty excited and borrowed her camera as well (Canon Ixus 200 IS) = it's gonna be a review post for that camera as well.

Firstly, i was pretty disappointed being a 12 megapixel camera with image stabilizer, the quality wasn't as good as i expected. The images turned out pretty noisy and grainy even with the ISO at 100.
X'mas decos at Bangsar Shopping Centre.

Taken under program mode at macro setting no flash.

First we were served free buns. they were DDDdddddddddddddelicious. *drooling.
i wouldn't mind having them every morning as breakfast.

you're drooling aren't you. You want to sink your teeth into the bread to have a bite and have the bread melt in your mouth. *slurrrppppp

*Cajun Chicken.
It looked TOTALLY different than how it looks like on the menu.

*spaghetti Anglio o Olio
This is the ONLY picture that is edited among all. (i left it untouched to show the quality)
and i just adjusted bait. see how noisy and grainy it is.

*Black pepper chicken
that just looks like one blob of i dunno what.

*braised lamb shank.

Asides the bread being very nice, the lamb was great (i had the lamb) The only problem was there was no salt int he mash potatoes and the gravy was too thick.
The environment of the place was great, not loud and noisy thought it was a little full. I hate how restaurants are noisy that you have to yell to chat with the people you are with. And then the akward moment when all sudden it's silent and you say something really loud and people staring at you. *ugh

My opinion, i don't really like this camera. It's fine under day light, (what camera is not) but it sucks indoor, with flash and night time it's not really that good. But oh well, it's my sister camera. She just needs one to snap picture :) So that's the company dinner as well as a lunch but i didn't snap any pictures cause let's just say my colleague's aren't camwhores.

Stay tune for the x'mas weekend getaway.

Wants and Needs

In most cases, especially in relationships, you will only get 80% of what you NEED and you will hardly get the other 20% that you WANT in your relationship.

There is always another person (man or women) that you will meet and that will offer you the other 20% which is lacking in your relationship that you WANT And believe me, 20% looks really good when you are not getting it at all in your current relationship.

But the problem is that you will always be tempted to leave that good 80% that you know you have, thinking that you will get something better with the other 20% that you WANT.

But as reality has proven, in most cases, you will always end up with having the 20% that you WANT and loosing the 80% that you really NEED and that you already had.

Be careful in deciding between what you WANT and NEED in your life.

Adultery happens when you start looking for what you don't have.
'Wow, this girl in my office is a real looker. But it's not her Wynona Rider features that got me. I'm crazy about her because she's also understanding, intelligent, tender - so many things that my spouse is not'

Somewhere along the way, you'll find a woman or a man who will be more charming or sensitive.
      More alluring. More thoughtful. Richer.
Have greater sex appeal. And you will find a woman or man who will need you and pursue you and go loco over you more than your spouse ever did.

Because no wife or husband is perfect.
Because a spouse will only have 80% of what you're looking for.
So adultery takes place when a husband or wife looks for the missing 20%. Let's say your wife is melancholic by nature.

You may find yourself drawn to the pretty clerk who has a cherry laugh no matter what she says: 'I broke my arm yesterday, Hahahaha . . ..'

Or because your wife is a homebody in slippers and pajamas, smelling of garlic and fish oil, you may fall for a fresh-smelling young sales representative that visits your office in a sharp black blazer, high heels, and a red pencil-cut skirt.
Or because your husband is the quiet type, your heart may skip a beat when you meet an old college flame who has the makings of a talk show host.

But wait! That's only 20% of what you don't have.

Don't throw away the 80% that you already have!

That's not all.

Add to your spouse's 80% the 100% that represents all the years that you have been with each other.

The storms you have weathered together.

The unforgettable moments of sadness and joy as a couple.

The many adjustments you have made to love the other.

The wealth of memories that you've accumulated as lovers.

Adultery happens when you start looking for what you don't have.

But faithfulness happens when you start thanking God for what you already have.

But I'm not just talking about marriage.

I'm talking about life!

    About your jobs.
    About your friends.
    About your children.
    About your lifestyles.

Are you like the economy airline passenger that perennially peeks through the door of the first class cabin, obsessed with what he's missing? 'They have got more leg room!
Oh my, their food is served in porcelain! Wow, their seats recline at an 80% angle and they've got personal videos!'

I guarantee you'll be miserable for the entire trip!
Don't live your life like that. Forget about what the world says is first class. Do you know that there are many first class passengers who are miserable in first class -- because they are not riding in a private Lear Jet?

The Main Message???

If you start appreciating what you have right now, wherever you are, you are first class!

Fit plan 1.

Many people do wonder, what to eat what not to eat? And when one comes across an insecureness, one starts stopping eating. Why? they would say "Diet."

Let's just say NOT EATING won't make you skinny. and it's impossible that one totally does not eat. they might just drunk juice or eat fruits or a very little amount of food? First, you're going on a wrong diet. and you'd lack the proper amount of nutrients that your body needs.

image taken from here

You can skip lunch, you can skip dinner. but you MUST have breakfast.
An apple a day keeps the doctor away, Drink 8 glasses of water a day(2 litres/200ml), you'd keep dehydration away.
Some people may go on a day without drinking water and thinking "hey, i'm fine. i'm not thristy." But your body dehydrates without knocking on you telling you. By the time you realize your throat is dry, your body feels weak. That is just water being drained out.

First thing in your diet? - Water.

It's really important as it flushes all the toxin in your body, it cleans your blood (want extra blood cleaning? Go for a blood donation). Can you imagine all the dust, pollution, food, bacteria and everything that you come across being in your body but nothing flushing you out?

Water is the very first important thing, the proper hydration is important. Especially for girls, your skin sag, age, wrinkle, flake, itch, dull, and everything that it is, you are lacking the amount of water that you need.   Read more info here.

Water is important to me, people ask me why my skin is so good? i tell them water. When i've had a meal, and i still feel hungry, i'd drink water.

So your first step of diet? water. Clean water is important, as dirty water will cause a bloated stomach because of the bacteria in there, and you drinking water to flush bacteria, waste and toxin from your body, you don't want dirty water right??

Next, Reduce from three huge meals to five small meals, It's okay to skip any EXCEPT breakfast. EXCEPT!!

note to all, starving does not make you slim. starving is NOT the right way. it's not healthy, it'll ruin your body, you'd lack of major nutrition and faint in the streets. Bet you won't be able to walk one floor up the stairs.
Many people do ask why. but are anorexic skinny shit then? (anorexic is an eating disorder = people who don't wanna eat) or bullimic (another eating disorder who eats and puke every time). Well, those are people who are sick and weak, they won't be able to run a 100metres.  Unless if you wanna be a sick person who will make people around you worried shit about you. Then i have no say. but DO NOT NOT EAT. that's not the right way, even if you want to be vegetarian, it's fine.

So, how hard is it?

I'm not talking about buffed up mega envy abs body, I'm talking bout the very first step for lazy people out there who think it's alright. Walking up 8 flight of stairs, If you're tired. your body is weak. So you gotta start doing something.

Most people like us who know envy abs body are like so far that's it's the only side of the world, we aim for, fit, and look well. Not squishing fats coming out, or being tired walking one floor up the stairs.

So, step 1 = WALK

Walking is the number one great exercise. I know it's a bit sad to walk in Malaysia, you'd get kidnap, robbed, killed, raped and what-so-ever that can happen. But when i'm in Perth, much safer (no 100% safe zone) but i can walk, without clutching my bag thinking someone's gonna snatch my bag and rape me and chop me up into pieces. LOL. So walk. It's easy, even your grandma can do it. Never sit after a meal. (too bad for the office ones, you guys can walk some stairs before you go back to work). Why are girls slimmer than guys? they walk. shopping is walking. :D and hey, carrying all that shopping bags are like walking with weights. LOL. so get your ass up, start walking. Lazy is an excuse.

Step 2 = SQUATS

LOL. i know you might be going wth. but this is something you can do in the shower and nobody's looking! or before you go to bed. Squats can balance your back, your legs, strengthen your one and can burn fat directly. It can also help you with your breathing
According to "Xtreme Lean" authors Jonathan Lawson and Steve Holman, squats cause the body to burn fat directly from the midsection.

Step 3 - 15/30 High intense exercise.

A high-intensity interval training, also directly targets body fat. In fact, this form of cardiovascular exercise can stimulate the production of potent fat-burning hormones that directly target abdominal fat to reduce waist size, according to "The Abs Diet." High-intensity interval training means doing 20 to 30 minutes of medium-intensity cardio, punctuated with 15- to 30-second all-out sprints every few minutes. For example, you could pedal on the exercise bike at a comfortable yet challenging pace, then pedal as hard as you can for 30 seconds every two minutes. This form of exercise should be done only once or twice a week, and be sure to take in a post-workout meal or shake that includes both high-quality protein (whey protein, for example) and carbohydrates for muscle recovery.

You can read more information on the 3 steps here.

So, let's start with being Fit. Nothing works overnight. So don't expect to do a set of work out today and expect to see results tomorrow. Don't think you can starve for a week and think you'd be skinny in a week. That's just *phail

24 hour get-away

I always look forward to the weekend where i get to stay up late and sleep in.
Not worrying that i gotta get up at 7 in the morning the next day.
After working a month? Time seems to pass by like a flash and in two weeks time it'll be 2012.

Past weekend? did.not.get.drunk
i missed the redbull vodka or the cranberry vodka.
Or the midori pineapple, could do some bailey's caramel too.
But sadly, let's just say we do not indulge such drinks here.

Would like to get drunk again some day to the extend i have NO IDEA WHAT I"M DOING!!!
I'm pretty sad cz my camera's charger isn't with me. so all i'm holding is a dead battery camera. with an iphone which has no flash (it kinda sucks doesn't it?)

So after a weekend away, Back to reality of 9am-5pm of 8 hours work.
By the end of the day, i'm too tired to turn on my laptop.
Let's just say it had proven i'm not much of an office lady. :D

Runaway weekend

For the last weekend, we had a tiny runaway afternoon to a little island call Penang.
okay. not really very little. but still little.
We left at about 12 and reach right before 2. with a jam at the bridge. and being slightly lost for a few minutes.
We found Penang Road and had our lunch.

Finally being lost and making calls and direction on GOogle map as our GPS from wayway died out of battery.
We manage to get to the food alley which was crowded with people.
i remember years ago i use to go to some foot of the mountain to eat it. with some temple.
but oh well, since everyone is talking about this. we must well just try.

I LOVE LAKSA.
okay, i do love curry and tom yam too. but laksa is niceeeee. thought i don't eat the prawn sauce thingy (u see on the spoon)
the sweet and sour taste. and raw onions and weird pineapple. who puts fruits in the noodle??
but it taste good.
One thing nice about this laksa is the fish.
not fish paste but fish meat. they're EVERYWHEREEEEE. with no bones.
and the noodles aren't stuck together.

another famous is the lobak.
i can't figure out what's the top brown one on the far left. but that's is GOOOOOOOOD *heaven.
like back in ipoh or kl, there is lobak. but they don't have that brown one of the bar left.
p/s. it's not sausage.

Then we have prawn mee (i'm not a fan of prawn mee)
but this is nice. :D

and finally our char kuey teow.

After that, we just didn't know where to go, and we passed by the ferri, and we decided to go back with the ferri. :D
So, technically we went there for lunch.
HAHAHHAA. call us crazy, cause we are :D

Life is spontaneous.
That's what brings us together

Should we be dating more and mating less?

Stumbled across this

Once a upon a time when dinosaurs still roamed the earth, before mobile phones and Broadband, a time without Facebook and Twitter (I know, unimaginable!) there existed a little thing called romance. Romance, my dear readers, was used between males and females as a way of courting one another. Back when the Spice Girls were in nappies and the world was Beiber-less, a man employed an array of techniques in order to woo his chosen female. Such tactics may have included: arriving at the lady's house bearing flowers, conversing with her parents for the time it takes for the father to be at ease that his offspring will be in safe hands, finishing the evening by walking the lady to her front door, a simple good night kiss.

Now of course romance did not end after the first few dates; the male knew that in order to make his affections known, he must demonstrate his feelings. This was achieved through conversation, gifts, poetry, letters and spontaneous moonlit walks on the beach. Sex was saved until a level of trust and familiarity had grown between the pair of lovebirds.

What a time that must have been! It may seem all very "olden days" to us Gen-Y bunnies, but I think there might be something to this whole romance thing.
Imagine being courted... to have someone show such respect and care towards you. Gosh, the last date I went on the guy confessed after three beers he really didn't care who he went home with, and, I certainly have never received flowers on a first date. I'm so used to following the "date + date = mate" formula, that I've forgotten what dating is all about. I'm embarrassed to admit that there is a part of me that believes if I don't jump under the covers on the second date, then he will surely grow bored and think it's all just too much trouble. How bad is that! Do I really think I'm not worth the effort and time, or am I so used to living in a culture of one night stands and friends with benefits, that sex has lost its intimacy and romance is dead? No longer is there an expectation of commitment after intercourse, in fact some of us ladies pride ourselves on doing the very opposite.

So I ask you, in an age of porn and pole dancing; of sexing like men and 20 ways to max your climax... are we missing out on what really counts? Maybe it's time to bring back Loving Like A Lady and make those gents work for it. Perhaps two drinks at the pub and a takeaway just isn't enough anymore to make you want to set up camp under his doona. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against the wonder of the one nighter, but just sometimes wouldn't it be nice to be treated for more than just sum of our parts?

What situation are you in?

Came across this on Facebook. I translated it to English.

[A]
She: Baby, Could you get me a glass of water?
He: Paper, scissors, stone. Loser goes.
She: Fine, i'll get it myself.

[B]
She gets up.
He: Where you going?
She: Gonna get a glass of water.
He: Sit, i'll go get it.

Women don't have high expectation, she just wants to be pampered. She could lose everything that she has, but as long as you pamper her. That's enough for her to build up the courage to give the rest of her life to you.

____

[A]
After work, he calls her.
He: Baby, i'm going for dinner with my friends.
She: Didn't you promise me to go shopping with me?
He: Next day lah!
She tears as he hangs up.

[B]
After work, he calls her.
He: Baby, Someone gave me a free ticket to a football show. I'm going later.
She: oh. okay.
He: Why do you sound say?
She: Because you promised to have dinner with me tonight.
He: Shit! Sorry! i forgot, i'll just the tickets to someone else then.
She: It's alright. you can go. We can have dinner another night.
He: It's alright, get ready, i'll pick you up in fifteen minutes.

It's not that women aren't understanding. She just seeks someone understanding. A relationship, is something that could be worked out both ways.
__________

[A]
He: Let's go out for dinner tonight.
She: What time will you be back?
He: Before 9.
Half past 9.
She: Why are you still not back?
He: i'll be back before 10.
11pm, 12am, 1am, 2am.
In the end, She just gave up calling him. She doesn't want to be controlling or bossy.
All she wants is a guy who is in time and keeping to what he says.

[B]
He: Let's go out for dinner tonight, i'll be back by nine and after dinner we could go for a movie.
She: Are you sure you'd be able to finish by then?
He: Yes, I promise you.

Trust, is built up with small bits.

_________
[A]
She cleans up the house with a sick body, aching muscle, she washes the clothes and tidiest up the house.
He plays video games and watch show.
When she's done, she lies on the bed exhausted.
He turns around "Poor baby" turns back and continue his stuff.

[B]
She cleans up the house with a sick body, aching muscle, she washes the clothes and tidiest up the house.
He gets up: Let me do it.
She: Do you know how to do it??
He: Even if i didn't know. i can learn. You aren't feeling well, let me do it.

Women aren't looking for sweet talk that are just for seconds. She might smile for a second. But deep inside, she just wants you to care and share. This is how a lovely home is built.

______
[A]
She gives him an orange and does the laundry. She comes back, the orange is gone.

[B]
She gives him an orange and does the laundry. She comes back, it is peeled nicely placed on the table.

Woman aren't selfish, they just want to be cared, and thought of. To be placed in their mind where money can't be bought.
